Successful nonprofits can state their mission in one simple and compelling sentence. This mission should not change much over time if at all. A changing mission often signifies an uncompelling mission.

Successful nonprofits make fundraising a core function. And at its core fundraising is about engaging with potential donors. This engagement could be strengthening pre-existing engagement (such as with college alumnae and alumni) or it could be creating new engagement (like that for a new non-profit).

Successful nonprofits are laser-focused on donors who want to engage with its mission. Who these likely donors are will determine which engagement tools will be used. The sets of engagement tools chosen define successful nonprofits’ fundraising strategies.

There are all sorts of engagement tools, from letters/emails to appearing on panels to public relations to events (many sorts!) to personal outreach to donors to ensuring that the board is well-seeded with donors to creating advisory committees composed principally of donors.

Join classmates and fundraising experts Ken Bartels and Nick Sakellariadis as they focus on these engagement tools to show how to successfully fundraise for your organization. There will be plenty of time for discussion when we all can share our experiences with engagement tools that have led to fundraising success.

A BIT OF BACKGROUND:

ClassACT HR73 offers pro bono assistance to nonprofits called Bridge Partners, which are either founded or run by classmates, as well as supporting classmates who are involved in organizations that want to change the world.

In order to help our Bridge Partners to further their objectives, we are offering assistance in a variety of skills related to the success of non-profits via the Bridge Toolbox Series. These webinars are recorded and archived on our website for public use.
